Saika, which means a flower full of color, came about from my love of drawing faces! I wanted a way that I could work on various ethnic faces and features,  that was more than a sketch, yet not quite a full blown doll. I hated the thought of so many bodiless dolls lying about, so I turned her into a bust!

 

Saika is approximately 6” tall, when made totally from cloth. 

Angela will teach her sculpting method along with embellishing ideas to complete your Bust.

This is a fabulous class if you want to learn how to do asian style faces and came about from Angela having a heap of spare heads floating around ... so she decided to Dress em up and display them!

Facebook Auctions

I have been trying something a little different lately and I have been posting some items on our facebook page as auction items...

this is a wonderful way to try and pick up some quality stash for your creative cupboard for an awesome price!

I set the stage with a photo of the item for sale, give a description then set a starting price... auctions are usually live for approx 24hours only with items not sold being placed on the website at full price... so if something interests you why not place a bid you never know you just may get a great item at an even greater price... winner does pay postage which usually isnt much more than $6.75 worldwide for the fabric packs and can be a little more for heavier items (if your not sure about the postage just message me for more info-I will need a location to work out the best price for you)

oh my they changed the way we use blogger now too?? I only just got used to the old format of editing ... I guess I will just have to post more LOL...

its been a long time!

I know it has a been a awful long time since my last post... but this has been one fantastic year.. either with my nieces or my own daughter.. one day you are changing their nappies and the next you are dressing them in wedding gowns and walking them down the isle... WOW! what a journey!!

It has to be one of the best things in the world besides the grandbabies that come after...LOL

this has been my life for the last year and a half and have I learned a lot and done a LOT of sewing for others. We still have a way to go til the big day what with fittings and such but I am gathering a few projects together to take over from the wedding preps once the big day has come and gone.... my creative juices are flowing and I am so hanging to get my hands dirty again LOL

I have a few updates and these will follow shortly with a special giveaway

Time Flies when having fun!!

Oh my goodness has it been 2 months already!! Time does fly when one is having fun

I have been like most others tied down with holiday preps, the odd bit of travel and the like. We just spend a lovely week in Kalbarri with the family and it was wonderful...

the boys caught enough fish to feed all and some to share will have to share pics as soon as they are downloaded to the computer.

ok time to reveal why I have been silent

Hi everyone its been a while to say the least... 

remember I told you I was busy sewing? well I was making a couture wedding gown for my niece and it was all very hush hush as you can imagine.... 

I am extremely proud of the outcome... Sadly I couldnt get photos of her wearing it because my camera decided to pack it in the night before the big day~ YIKES...

anyhooI did take progress photos and can now share them as her day has come and gone...
